Meet Your Maine Artist

For nearly two decades, oil painting has been not only my craft, but the rhythm of my days. My journey began with heartfelt curiosity, sketching tide-washed rocks and soft moss by Maine's coves. With guidance from instructors like Tiago Finato, Jane Seoane, Bill McLane, Kathy Kitell, and Todd Bonita, I stitched together classic techniques and the distinctly luminous light unique to our state.
With each piece, my aim is to bring a sense of calm, drawing inspiration from seaside mornings, woodland hush, and the beloved souls of animals who share our landscapes. Over the years, I have found joy and meaning in capturing the spirit of Maine - translating its peaceful moments onto canvas. This path eventually led me to share my work at local galleries, offering regional collectors and newcomers a glimpse of Maine's beauty through my eyes.

Inspired by Maine's Light
Each painting in my collection finds its roots in the landscapes and gentle rhythms of Maine. I have spent years observing how morning fog lifts off the shoreline, how quiet woods catch golden light, and how simple objects at rest evoke comfort and memory. My early studies with dedicated teachers shaped my vision, but it is the natural calm found along Maine's shores and in sunny meadows that guides my hand. I seek to honor both the dramatic and the subtle - sunrises over ocean coves, still life arrangements that echo the simplicity of country life, and beloved pets in thoughtful, respectful detail. My process is slow and reflective, inspired by walks along tidal pools or afternoons spent watching changing light in my Alfred studio. Visitors can view my original works at Maine Art Collective, where each canvas offers an invitation to step quietly into the heart of Maine.
